Pioneer Christmas Celebration
The historical Mile Branch Settlement ushers in the Christmas season each year with the "Pioneer Christmas in the Country" Celebration. This is a nostalgic affair that delights young and old alike.
The acclaimed limited-edition Mile Branch Settlement Christmas tree ornaments are on sale.

Designed and crafted by Washington Parish artist, Sara Bateman Nelson, they have become collector items. Each ornament is individually hand-painted, front and back, dated, numbered, and designed by the artist. Each ornament depicts and historic building within the Settlement.
Each cabin is decorated for Christmas as the early pioneers would have decorated. Crackling fires and carolers enhances the warmth of the Christmas season. In addition, local artisans and crafters gather to show and sell their beautiful Christmas decorations and creations.
"Pioneer Christmas Thanksgiving in the Country" is held each year on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday following Thanksgiving. Join us this year and give your holiday season a heartwarming start.
